Process, Not Destination
What is the wisdom that God has taught me? For my God is an Almighty God, All Knowing, All Loving, All Powerful. He created me to worship him. He created me to learn about him. To pursue him. And yet, I am incapable. Without God, I can do nothing that brings me closer to him.
I was created to worship him. Yet, without him, I cannot. So I am completely dependent on God.
I was created to worship God in that I am incomplete without that worship. I am empty. I am void. I will long for something, and fill that void with worldly things that will separate me from God even more. So I am to seek him in everything I do.
Knowledge for itself is useless. But knowledge in the search of Wisdom is beautiful. Knowledge is not for knowledge’s sake, but for Wisdom. And Wisdom is from God, so brings us closer to God.
Measure your being by looking at the fruit of the Spirit, not the fruit of the World. Strive to perfectly obey the Spirit, and in doing so being full of Wisdom and pleasing to God.
God calls us to constantly seek him to know him better. He calls us to a process, not a destination. No matter how much Wisdom he fills us with, it is but a drop in the ocean. And once we stop seeking Wisdom, we separate from God. We will never know enough. And that which we do know is nothing.
If God calls us to always know him better, and there is no destination, then everything we do is like that. It is not about what we accomplish, but about how we accomplish it. Don’t worry about what you think you need to accomplish. Focus on the step by step and the Wisdom you need for today.
