Benjamin shared a video about preparing to be a PJ. It was about treading water. The guy said treading water is one of the most important things — it gives you confidence. If you can tread in deep water, you will have confidence on land.

Does God call us to tread? Some people think if you are treading water, you are stalled, not accomplishing anything. And yet, if by treading water you are waiting on God, and able to be in the deep water — then you have mastered a very basic aspect of life.

I am meandering where I am, instead of taking the next bearing forward. Maybe that is God calling me to tread water, to get my wits about him, and to listen for him.

Learn to tread water. Be confident and safe where you are. Wait for the next step — whether in deep water or approaching land.

Be comfortable where God has you.
